Still Writing Project Docs From Memory? Recap Speakers First
AgentLeverage Team
3/7/2026
After the call, someone still sits down and writes the project record from memory: notes, status, the action log.
Recap speakers first. Then draft status from the labeled notes. You still review owners and due dates before you send.
AgentLeverage does not ship a live Contract Analyzer or a Document Summarizer. There is no upload-a-contract or upload-a-50-page-report run here.
If the source is the call you just left, label who spoke, then recap. Meeting Summarizer guest runs are free (5/day). You still review owners.
Why project docs still get written from memory
The evening work after a status call is usually the same two jobs:
- Relabel a Zoom, Meet, or Teams export that still says Speaker 1 / Speaker 2
- Write the recap with decisions, owners, and the next status line
Someone types during the call and misses the next sentence. Someone writes after and reconstructs from memory. Owners stay vague. The next standup starts from three different recaps.
Contract review and long-report summarization are real project work. They are not live AgentLeverage tools. Do not treat this page as a catalog of every documentation task.
If action items are still buried in a half-typed note: how to recap notes or a transcript after the call
How to automate project documentation with AI
A working loop looks like this:
- Record the Zoom, Meet, or Teams call, or keep your own notes.
- Get a transcript. If you have audio, Speaker Separation labels each voice so you can rename Speaker 1. Guest runs are free (2/day).
- Paste or upload notes or a transcript into Meeting Summarizer. Supported files: TXT, DOCX, VTT, SRT.
- Review the recap, decisions, and action items. Owners and due dates only stick when they were said, and when you check them.
- Draft status from that labeled recap. Share it. Keep the transcript so you can search later.
Meeting Summarizer does not transcribe audio. It does not join Zoom or Meet. It does not ingest a contract PDF or a lengthy report. Guest runs are free (5/day).
1. Label speakers first
A recording you cannot attribute is not a project record. You sit through it again, pause, type a name, and miss the next sentence.
Speaker Separation takes the audio and returns a labeled transcript. You rename Speaker 1. You can download isolated stems and export txt or srt.
Guest runs are free (2/day). Signed-in orgs pay 2 credits per minute, rounded up. You still rename Speaker 1 and review overlapping turns. This is a working labeled transcript, not a certified project record.
If the file is a Zoom, Meet, or Teams export that still says Speaker 1: how to label who spoke on remote meeting recordings
2. Recap from notes or a transcript
Meeting Summarizer does not take the audio file. It takes notes or a transcript and returns a recap, decisions, owners, and action items when those were said.
Paste the labeled transcript from Speaker Separation, or upload TXT, DOCX, VTT, or SRT. Guest runs are free (5/day). Signed-in orgs pay 2 credits per summary.
You still review owners and due dates before you send the recap. A name you never renamed, or a "we'll circle back" that was never assigned, turns into a confusing action item.
The first pass returns:
- A short recap of what was covered
- Decisions, when they were said
- Action items with an owner and a due date when those were said
- Open questions that still need a follow-up
That is recap and notes, not clause review and not a document summary. Skip this tool for a two-minute standup you can recap from memory. Skip it when you need a certified record or a bot in the call.
3. Draft status from the labeled notes
The recap is the first pass. Status still needs a human sentence.
Copy the decisions and owners you checked. Write the one-line status you would send today. Leave out anything that was never said. Put the labeled transcript next to the status so someone can search later.
Do not paste a contract or a 50-page report into Meeting Summarizer and expect a status update. That file is not this tool.
What we do not ship
These jobs show up in project admin. They are not live AgentLeverage runs:
- Vendor contracts and SOWs. Search the PDF for payment, termination, and liability, or paste those sections into a prompt you already use. That is a first pass, not legal advice. We do not ship a live Contract Analyzer. Call a lawyer when the dollars or the terms are unusual.
- Long reports, specs, and research PDFs. We do not ship a Document Summarizer. Meeting Summarizer recaps notes or a transcript. It does not ingest a lengthy report.
- A bot in the call. Meeting Summarizer does not join Zoom or Meet. Speaker Separation labels speakers on a recording you already have.
If a sibling page still mentions those names, treat them as comparison language, not a Try button.
What you still review
- Speaker 1 labels you have not renamed, and turns where people talked over each other
- Owners and due dates that were never said out loud
- Names, acronyms, and numbers
- Any clause you are about to sign, and any report page you are about to cite
This is not a certified project record. Guest "Free" is the daily quota. After that, signed-in orgs spend credits. Start with 30 free credits on signup. Unused included credits do not carry forward. Pack credits never expire. We do not train on your data. Signed-in jobs stay until you delete them. Guest results expire after 7 days.
Getting started
Pick the next recorded status call, not a contract and not a lengthy report.
- After the call, run Speaker Separation if you only have audio (guest 2/day). Rename Speaker 1.
- Paste that transcript into Meeting Summarizer (guest 5/day). Review the recap, then draft status from the labeled notes.
- Skip Speaker Separation when you already have a clean transcript with real names. Skip Meeting Summarizer for a standup you can recap from memory.
Do not upload a recent contract to a Contract Analyzer here. Do not submit a lengthy report to a Document Summarizer here. Those tools are not live.
