Still Waiting on Discovery Depos? Label Speakers First
AgentLeverage Team

The certified copy still belongs to the court reporter. You still wait for it. What you can have sooner is a working labeled transcript from a recording you already have: Speaker 1 and Speaker 2 on each turn.
Use it to review testimony. Do not file it as the certified record. You still review.
What a working depo transcript is vs the certified copy
A certified transcript is the official record. A court reporter takes it, certifies it, and that is the copy you file.
A working transcript is a labeled first pass you can search and mark up while you wait. Speaker Separation returns Speaker 1 / Speaker 2. It does not return a reporter's names, a page-and-line official copy, or something you submit as an exhibit.
Keep the jobs separate. Label speakers so you can read the testimony. The court reporter still owns the certified record.
What label-speakers-first changes
Speaker Separation takes a recording and returns a labeled transcript.
Upload the file. The run labels each voice (Speaker 1, Speaker 2). You rename those labels. You can download isolated stems (one audio file per voice) and export txt or srt.
Guest runs are free (2/day). Signed-in orgs pay 2 credits per minute of audio, rounded up.
That is the job: who said what on a recording. It is not a certified transcript, not a court record, and not a name we pulled from the caption.
If the file is any multi-speaker recording and you still need who said what: how to split audio by speaker, then rename the labels
What we do not do
Speaker Separation does not:
- Replace the court reporter or the certified record
- File as an exhibit or stand in as the official transcript
- Invent real names from the case caption (you still rename Speaker 1)
- Guarantee accuracy
- Claim bar-approved output or a certified-output promise
We do not claim certified or bar-approved output. We do not train models on your files. We do not write a privilege or compliance opinion for your matter. You still review.
Where you still review
Check before you share or rely on a working copy:
- Overlaps, when people talk over each other
- Speaker 1 labels you have not renamed
- Accents, expert jargon, and quiet speakers
- Phone audio, conference-room echo, and background noise
- Turns that jumped to the wrong voice
Wrong labels still need a listen. Isolated stems help you hear one voice at a time. They do not certify the text.
Optional digest after you check the transcript
Once you have a transcript you have already checked, Meeting Summarizer can turn pasted notes or that transcript into a recap, decisions, owners, and action items when those were said.
Guest runs are free (5/day). Signed-in orgs pay 2 credits per summary. It accepts TXT, DOCX, VTT, and SRT. It does not transcribe audio.
This is not a deposition digest we measured. We do not claim hours saved against a paralegal write-up. Skip it if you only need the labeled transcript.
How to try it on a real recording
Pick a recording you are allowed to upload. Not the official record. A backup audio file is enough.
- Upload it to Speaker Separation. Guest runs are free (2/day).
- Rename Speaker 1 and Speaker 2.
- Review overlapping turns. Download stems or export txt/srt if you want them.
- Optional: paste the transcript you checked into Meeting Summarizer for a recap.
- Keep the certified copy for filing. This run is a working labeled transcript.
No account for a guest run. Sign in if you want the job kept. Start with 30 free credits. Pack credits never expire. Unused included credits do not carry forward. Paid checkout charges immediately.
